Revised Guidance Statements Released
As a result of issuing the 2010 edition of the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®), all existing
guidance statements were updated to make them consistent with the language in the GIPS standards
themselves. We recommend reviewing the tracked changes version of each guidance statement to help you
identify any changes that impact your firm. All guidance statements are available on the GIPS standards
website.

Vincent Performance founder, Karyn D. Vincent, co-authors new book Complying with
the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®)
While CFA Institute has published the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) and related
interpretations for years, there has never been a book devoted to the discussion of the practical
implementation of the GIPS standards. This book fills that void.
This book covers both the mathematics of calculating investment performance and the requirements and
related policies and procedures for achieving and maintaining compliance with the GIPS standards. Chapters
address the fundamentals of GIPS compliance, creating and maintain performance composites, performance
measurement, and much more.
Karyn’s co-author is Bruce J. Feibel, BNY Mellon Asset Servicing Managing Director. Karyn and Bruce, who
have more than 40 years of combined experience in the performance industry, are long-standing volunteers
with CFA Institute’s GIPS committees, and Karyn has been a long time fan of Bruce’s first book, Investment
Performance Measurement. Said Feibel, "Karyn and I wrote this book to package our experiences into a
useful guide to help educate the global investment community."
The book is part of the Frank J. Fabozzi Series and is published by John Wiley & Sons. Learn more about
